Who we are

The Riddlecote companion app is run by Opengro Digital (Dylan Cromhout), South Africa. Contact: support@riddlecote.com. By using the app you agree to these terms.

What the app is

Riddlecote games are printable downloads sold on Etsy. This app is a free, optional companion to those printables. It does not take payment, show prices or sell anything, and every game stays fully playable on paper without it. Your purchase, refunds and order questions are handled through Etsy under Etsy’s own terms.

Game codes and order numbers

The game code and Etsy order number from your purchase open that game in the app for your household and the guests you invite. Each order covers a limited number of phones. Please don’t post codes or invite links publicly. We may switch off a code, an order or an invite that is shared publicly, refunded or misused.

Fair use

Don’t try to break, overload or get around the app’s checks, and don’t copy or resell the games, artwork or app content. The games and app are for private, non-commercial play. Characters, places and events in the games are fictional.

Family games

Each game shows an age guide. An adult should host family and kids’ games and decide what suits their group.

AI-assisted content

Some game text and artwork is drafted with AI tools and then checked by us. See How AI is used. Mistakes can slip through; if you spot one, tell us and we’ll fix it.

No warranties

The app is provided free and “as is”. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we don’t promise it will always be available, error-free or work on every device, online or offline. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be excluded, including the South African Consumer Protection Act where it applies.

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss from using the app. If we are found liable for anything else, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the related game on Etsy.

Changes

We may update the app and these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters to you, you can stop using the app at any time; your printables still work.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, without taking away protections you have under the laws of the country where you live.
